On such a hard day 
after a two-hour dental surgery 
under general anesthetic 
and one-and-a-half-hour crazy crying from her afterwards, 
it felt strange to take a photo of the recovering Carolina.


But I realized that taking a daily picture of her sleep 
has become a ritual to me. 
It helped me to become grounded again.
